Snowboard Tuning

If riding feels harder than it should or your board looks worn, a tune can make a difference. Our Outdoor Experts bring it back to life with careful edge sharpening, base repair, stone grinding, and a fresh wax so it rides smoothly and predictably.

Snowboard Mounting

If your setup doesn’t feel quite right, your stance could be the reason. We mount bindings for both traditional and Channel systems and fine-tune stance width and angles based on how you ride. If anything changes, like new boots or bindings, stop by and we’ll adjust your setup so it feels comfortable and balanced again.

Snowboard Waxing

If your board feels slow or the base looks dry, it’s likely time for a fresh wax. We offer quick belt waxes and custom hand waxes matched to the conditions you’ll be riding, helping your board stay smooth, fast, and responsive throughout the season.

Pro Tip: Frequent riders should plan on getting their boards waxed every 5–6 days of riding to maintain optimal performance on the slopes.

Where to Snowboard Near Houston, TX

Living in Texas doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy ride-worthy snow. Just a short flight or approximately a day’s road trip away, there are plenty of epic mountain resorts offering both on and off-slope fun that’s more than worth the travel. Shred on a board, hang out at the lodge, and soak in picturesque alpine views at any one of these highly-rated destinations:

Wolf Creek Ski Area – CO

Wolf Creek is known for having the most snow in Colorado, and that reputation shows up on the mountain all season long. With 1,600 acres, 11 lifts, and terrain that ranges from wide, confidence-building green runs to serious expert lines, snowboarders can grow their skills or push their limits in one place. Advanced riders love the mix of chutes, glades, bowls, ridges, steeps, and tree skiing, especially after a storm cycle. Families and newer riders benefit from warm, friendly instructors and an amazing staff that keeps the vibe welcoming and supportive. The mountain typically stays open through early April, though holiday periods can draw crowds — a small tradeoff for consistently deep snow and memorable riding.

Telluride Ski Resort – CO

Telluride is a world-renowned destination that blends expansive terrain with stunning scenery and a charming, historic mountain town you’ll want to explore long after the lifts close. With 2,000+ acres, 148 trails, and 17 lifts, the resort offers a wide mix of terrain that gives snowboarders plenty of room to roam, often with uncrowded slopes that translate to more laps and more riding time. Wide cruisers and long groomers set the tone, while steeps, bowls, and advanced lines reward riders ready to push their skills. Perched on the slopes of Sierra Blanca near Ruidoso, Ski Apache stands out as New Mexico’s most accessible snowboarding destination, with 750 acres of varied terrain and 55 trails suited to all ability levels. Boarders can rip wide intermediate cruisers, explore steeper advanced pitches like the Gondola Liftline, or hone skills on more forgiving beginner runs — all served by 11 lifts, including the state’s only eight-person gondola. Rising to nearly 12,000 feet, Ski Apache boasts the highest mountain in southern New Mexico, offering a snow-capped summit and sweeping views that make every run memorable. The resort is known for its laidback, less crowded atmosphere, which means more space to ride and a relaxed pace throughout the day.
